Using the Image Admin Utility

This quick manual explains how to use the included image admin utility to exchange the Rapid Ideas theme images

An overview on the Image Admin User Interface

media_1205844835545.png

1) This is the main window which should show up when you start the image admin utility
2) Depending on the theme you use, you will see several image slots or image preview panes. After you have started the image admin utility the images which actually are in the theme are loaded to these slots
3) If you want to exchange an image, simply click on the Choose button next to the image slot and select a new image in the Open Dialog window
4) When you have finished your selection, click on the Copy Images button and all images should be copied into the theme

Some important notes

1) Make sure you use the proper image format. If nothing is mentioned in the theme manual, the default image format will be JPEG. The image admin utility will not change the file format, so it is important to only use images in the specified format.
2) When you click on the Copy Images button, all images in the theme contents folder will be overwritten. So, if you want to keep the former images, make sure you have theme available somewhere else

Once you purchased a theme you will find the Image Admin Tool in the full download package that is sent to you right after the purchase.

  4. Christoph Richardet says

The Image Admin Utility is included in the Pro theme download folder. I’ll send you the link to the download page.

Whenever I open the Image Admin Utility, I get the message “Apple Script Error: Can’t make current application into type <>. (-1700). The image thumbs are all empty and when I add my own, they do not appear in the Rapid Weaver Style selection. How do I make this work?

  8. Christoph Richardet says

The “old” image admin utilities don’t work with RW5 anymore. There is a new project which should support all themes with all RW versions: Rapid Themer. Try it out: http://www.rapid-ideas.com/rapidthemer/
