I don’t know how many support requests I already received, telling me that some themes don’t show all content and you can’t scroll on the iPad or iPhone. My answer always was: sorry, this is how Apple decided a user has to scroll an overflown content: use two fingers! What?! Why two fingers?
Yes, this doesn’t really make sense and it is something users are not aware of. But this seems to come to an end as Apple changed the scrolling behaviour. Now, overflown content can be accessed the normal way: using 1 finger only. MobileSafari does support this until very early stages of iOS 5 so I believe this will be a new feature of iOS5 when it is out. So, please: don’t send me such reports anymore. Just wait a little bit until iOS 5 is released or just use two fingers.
Another new feature that is supported is fixed positioning. This brings new design possibilities to mobilized themes (e.g. a footer that always stays fixed at the bottom of the iDevice’s screen). Also: some nasty bugs with lightboxes should be solved with this new css rule (actually the rule is old but it is new in iOS 5).
So, good news for web designers and RW themes, regarding iDevices.

I knew Theme Digger’s name was only temporary and also its icon. I just haven’t found a better name until now. From today on “Theme Digger” is “RapidThemer” and has a brand new icon.
It is planned to release this tool for free on the Mac App Store but first it needs some throughout testing.

A new beta version of ThemeDigger has been released today. It fixes a problem with the “rescan” button and adds a simple “Backup/Restore” feature. Even I have tested this version to work fine, it is recommended that you manually backup a theme first before using the backup/restore function.
All settings and backups are stored at the following location in your home directory:
Library/Preferences/ThemeDigger/
Just in case you need to know it.

The FlickrGallery Stack lets you display flickr streams in a nice Gallery slideshow. There are a lot of options available via the HUD. You can load images by search terms, by tags, from a specific user, from a gallery or a flickr set. With several options you can control the slideshow to your need (e.g. effect, timing, dimension, …). This stack includes three different skins to further change the visual presentation of your images.

Hi there
As you may know I dived into objective-c and cocoa to enhance my outdated Image Admin Utilities. I already released a new version of the tool some weeks ago. Then I realized that maybe I can further enhance this tool and bring it to a new level. So the “Theme Digger” project was born. It is based on the Rapid Ideas Image Admin Utility but adds some nice new features, uses a new UI and supports other installed themes.
Today I released the first beta of this tool which should work on all machines running 10.5 and above. If you want to give it a try you can download it from here:

Note that this beta will expire end of mars. Also, its name and icon may be temporary until I found better ones
