It’s nice weather outside but I didn’t have the time to enjoy it until now. I was very busy in the last weeks but today is the day: I have just released my brand new theme: Modulo2.
Modulo2 is a very complex and feature rich theme. I think you might have never seen such a revolutionary theme for RapidWeaver. The main idea was to create a theme where the content is loaded asynchronous via AJAX. In private projects I always found it very difficult to include an audio player to a page which keeps playing when you browse to a different page. While developing the theme the possibilities became endless: now you not only can load your RW project pages via AJAX, you can load many other external pages into your content. The internet hub became reality. For example you can include your WordPress blog into your page and so into your page design and layout.
There already are many features included in Modulo2 and I will constantly add more during the development. Here are the most important features of Modulo2 right now:
AJAX Page Load: No page reloads no more and you can include other external sites into your RW project
Adding your own Background Images is a very easy drag n’ drop operation. If you add more than 1 image, a slideshow is automatically created. The background images can be automatically scaled to fill the full browser window and will resize when the window resizes
Accordion Effect Included: Creating accordions in Modulo2 is very easy as you only have to define h2 header titles for it to work
Create Rotating Banners and Slideshows: With some simple code (snippet is included) you can add rotating banners and slideshows to your pages. You can also configure it the way you want
The Control Box: This fixed-when-scolling, fading and draggable box is the core center of your site: per default the sidebar and navigation is included but it is very easy to add your own content to this box
Add your own Box: you can also create a box to the right side of the content which acts as a second container for content that should always be visible
A different layout optimized for the iPhone
Many included snippets and style options – of course
Note that there are also additional modules available for this theme which are sold separately (e.g. WordPress modules, HTML5 Audio Player Module)

It has been several weeks since the last news post here. I know that’s a bad thing to do: have a blog but simply forget to add posts to it for some time. There actually has been many new topics to write about here but, well, I just forgot to do so.
Let’s start again.
So what are the topics to be worth writing about?
Several Camilo Theme Updates
After I released V4 of the Camilo Theme I already released two updates, bringing the version to V 4.0.2. In general these are the changes:
- Added options for the logo placements (including a “hide” option)
- Added an option for the page title position (left/right/left-right/hide)
- Added an option to enable/disable the Automatic Shadowbox in Photo Album pages (needed for RapidAlbum Pages)
- Added options for the font sizes (navbar and content independently)
- Fixed a wrong positioning when used with RapidCart2 plugin
- Corrected the sideheader overflow (logo will now be cut-off when it doesn’t fit)
- Corrected the side logo auto resizing
- Colors should also be applied to the iPhone rendering
- Removed the “lightbox” trigger from shadowbox for not interfering with existing lightbox scripts on your site
- Added an option to show/hide the logo on the iPhone
- Sideheader image is centered again
- Minor enhancements for iPhone rendering
Themes for Concrete5
I started migrating my themes to concrete5 cms. If you ever needed to use a collaboration work on a website you may have found RapidWeaver is a little bit difficult to handle. RW is a great tool but it doesn’t fit each website. So, I started bringing my RW themes to the best CMS on the market. If you want to find out more about concrete5 head over to their project site.
At the moment I released “Eye” and “Splash” as free themes and also migrated “Diamond” and “Camilo”. You can have a look at my concrete5 theme preview site.

Music Collaboration Site
Actually this has nothing to do with RapidWeaver but I thought you probably would be interested to know where I also spend a lot of time. As you may already know one of my passion is producing electronic music as my pseudonym “Charles Atan”. In the last few days we set up a new site for the collaboration with my friend and musician “zenmetalshirt”. Its main purpose is to concentrate our work on live events. If you find some time check out our site. I know our music may not please everybody’s taste

Some hours ago I released my newest creation: Raster.
The Raster Theme combines several ideas from other themes: a very eye catching but simple design, many advanced web2.0 features and the possibility to add extra content to many parts of the layout. Here is a small list of the most important features:
- Add any content to the headers (left AND right) and the footer. This can be inline content or even better, pages designed separately (e.g. stacks, blocks, …) or even flash movies
- The menu morph isn’t only cool but can help the user give some visual feedback. And: if you don’t like it, just disable it
- Present your images in a very stylish way with a simple photo album page. The images aren’t loaded on a “dummy” html page but open up in mediabox advanced as an image set
- Includes mediabox advanced, the successor of mediabox. Now you can add sets of images, videos, content
- Advanced Tooltips are included. Whenever your visitor hovers a link you can present him some more information about the target. You can even add HTML/CSS code to the tips!

I just released V 1.0.1 of my Present theme. It is a minor bugfix update (mainly IE/Win stuff):
V 1.0.1:
- Fixed the navbar 3-rd Level Bug
- Fixed Stacks/Accordion and IE/Win compatibility
Where to download?
All clients should receive a mail with the download instructions in the next few minutes
Installation
Installing the new version should be very easy:
1) Make sure RapidWeaver isn’t running
2) Double-Click on the theme file (.rwtheme extension)
If there is a problem with the easy install above you may need to make a clean installation:
1) Quit RapidWeaver if it is running
2) Remove the old theme file from the following folder in your home directory:
Library/Application Support/RapidWeaver/CAPresent.rwtheme
I also recommend to search for the file “CAPresent.rwtheme” with spotlight and remove any found duplicates.
3) Start RW and see if the Present theme really doesn’t show up in the themes drawer. If it does, control-click on the Present theme and choose “Delete CA Present” from the pop-up menu. Now everything should be clean.
4) Download the latest theme version (-> information above)
5) Install the theme by double clicking the file “CAPresent.rwtheme” on the mounted disk image. Afterward, restart RapidWeaver.

Another Screencast: Add a BannerZest movie to the header area in Konzern and Drawer.
I received some mails from users who liked to add a BannerZest movie to the extra content area (mainly the header area). But the problem is: BannerZest uses javascript to dynamically insert the movie. And as the extra content is also created dynamically it doesn’t work very often. So, I decided on creating a screencast with a fullproof technique to add your BannerZest movie. It uses just HTML/CSS code and is the best way to insert any Flash object in your page without using javascript. Check it out and leave your feedback.
