RapidWeaver Stacks

Our Stacks for RapidWeaver® will add unique features to your RapidWeaver® Project. Some of the stacks may be well known like the HTML5 audio players or slideshows, others are very special adding features that can't be found anywhere else. To use our stacks you need the Stacks2 Plugin by yourhead.

Accord

Accord Stack: Description

The Accord Stack lets you put an accordion effect on any stacks page. The effect can directly be seen here: when you click a title its corresponding content is shown (or hidden depending on the configuration). Many accordions use the jQuery UI framework, which isn't included here to save bandwidth. We just have written our own code to make the script as small and fast as possible.
We ale wanted to give you full styling options, so we decided to build it with just empty slots for the tab title and content. This means you can use any stack type (image, text, columns, …) for the title and the content. Further it lets you fully design the components using the standard Stacks Layout options like margins, paddings, colors, borders, ...

Accord Stack: How To Use

While the Accord Stack gives you full control over every single component, it actually is very easy to set up:

  • Add an Accord Stack where you want your accordion to be on the stacks page
  • Set the number of sections you want in the Stack configuration on the right side
  • Add any Stack for the title tab (e.g. Text stack) and enter your title's content
  • Add any Stack for the accordion content and enter your content
  • Make further adjustments in the Stacks configuration like collapsing and first item opened
  • Fine tune the layout and design options the standard way using the general stacks configuration options

You are done.

Accord Stack: What Content Is Supported

As seen above, you can use any content you like. The Accord Stack isn't limited in any way. It gives you all freedom you need to design your accordion. Add HTML5 media players in a grid, insert a slideshow or forms. And this is even possible with the title (but not every stack type makes sense for the title). The only limitation is your imagination of what you want to do. Want an audio track playing and when a user clicks on it, further info is shown below? Want an image accordion? The Accord Stack can do this and more.

Yep, we disused it: here is an example of an audio track playing and when you click on it, more info about the track can be shown.

FlickrGallery

Stacks Image 182
The FlickrGallery Stack lets you display flickr streams in a nice Gallery or even slideshow. There are a lot of options available via the HUD. You can load images by search terms, by tags, from a specific user, from a gallery or a flickr set. With several options you can control the slideshow to your need (e.g. effect, timing, dimension, ...). This stack includes four different skins to further change the visual presentation of your images.

And of course, the gallery is fully responsive. This means it adjusts to the browser window and can also be used on small screens.

The jCycle Stack lets you create Rotating Banners and Slideshows on any page. There is no limitation of the amount of slides you use and what content you use. You can simply use images for slideshows but you can also use other stacks which contains text, code and images. So, this is a very flexible stack to present your content. In the so called "HUD" you have many customization options to set the visual representation of the banner.

Ah, end of course those slides will also show perfectly on iDevices (iPad/iPhone).

This content will be shown until the 31th december 2014 at 20:12 (8:12 pm). It uses the universal time and not the visitor's local time so the callback will be executed at the very same instant for all users across the world.
The onTime Stack is a very smart utility stack. In short, it lets you do things on your page at a specific date and time. Want to show a Christmas greetings during the festives? Add an on Time Stack, set the date and forget. During the date you defined, the message is shown.

But the onTime Stack doesn't stop here. It not only lets you show/hide content you can also redirect the user to a page and even load a script at the defined time. The possibilities are endless.

You can go to bed if you have to and let the stack do all that dirty work for you automatically.

Of course there is also an option to include a countdown timer to your event.

PageTransition

Stacks Image 151
The Page Transition Stack adds nice transitions to your Stack pages. When navigating to a page, the main page starts an "out"-Transition and will automatically load the chosen page once the transition is complete. The Stack uses CSS3 Animation techniques that work in every modern browser (including IE 10). Older browsers will simply ignore the transition.
There are 13 default transition effects you can choose from, you can adjust the timing of the transition (from 0 to 10'000 ms) and the timing function (e.g. eas-in) can also be set.

I can't show you the effect on this page, so have a look at the PageTransition Preview Page.

rPlaylist

The Default Playlist Player Skin
The Default Skin with the most options for your visitors.
The Simple+ Player Skin
Below you can find two streaming radio stations from shoutcast.
The Simple Player Skin
The Play/Pause Player Skin
The Play/Pause Skin is the simplest GUI for an audio player and gives you room for other content. It is also nice for a minimal background audio player on your site
The rPlaylist Stack is an advanced mp3 audio playlist player. It uses HTML5 audio in browsers that support HTML5 with mp3 files. In other browsers, it falls back to an invisible Flash component making it work cross browser. This also means that this player will work perfectly on iDevices too, like the iPhone or iPad.
What's so special about this stack is that you can add your mp3 files by simple drag and drop operation. No need to fumble around with page assets and cryptic path URLs. You can also prelisten your audio files directly in RapidWeaver®.
Via the HUD you have many advanced options to set the visual representation and set some core functions:

- custom colors
- enable autoplay, loop and auto advance
- 4 different layout skins
- use your own custom player icons

Of course you are not limited to dropped mp3 files, you can also link to hosted mp3 files and even link to a mp3 streaming radio station like shoutcast.

ScrollTo

Stacks Image 74
The ScrollTo Stack lets you add a smooth on-page scrolling effect to your RapidWeaver® page. Links pointing to a certain container will trigger the effect and your visitors will be directed smoothly to the link target. You can also build a one-page site and when a user clicks on the main navigation entries the page will scroll to the section on the page.
In addition of scrolling to a predefined section you can also enable a "Back To Top" link whenever the content has been scrolled for a certain amount. This feature needs just one click in the Stack configuration and lets you choose from several included styles.

Ever wanted to have a simple but very stylish and functional News Signup Form on your page? Here is the SignUp Stack to let you collect user information and build a news subscription list for your newsletters.
I am using it for my own news list and you can see it in each footer. But this stack adds more than a simple form. There are many possibilities configuring this stack, from the visual design to where and how you want to add it. Add it to the sidebar or the content. It is also possible to link to the form and hide it from the page. Whenever the user clicks the SignUp link, the form will magically be faded in.
The stack uses the fabulous mlm script from the same guys that also develop MaxBulk Mailer. The script should work with or without MySQL. To read more about all features of the script behind, check out the MLM script page.

SoundCloud

What you see above is just one possible player. You will get three different soundcloud players in four different colors.

If you are a musician or producer you probably will already have heard of soundcloud - or you may already be using it. Soundcloud is the audio collaboration/community tool on the web. If you haven't an idea what soundcloud is: think of it like what flickr is to images, soundcloud is to audio.
The soundcloud stack lets you put a soundcloud player on your web page. It doesn't use just the standard soundcloud player as that player is not compatible with iDevices because it uses Flash. This stack uses a new player which also supports iDevices.
This stack actually includes two stacks: the core soundcloud stack which handles the main functionality and where you can set the general preferences (e.g. what skin to use). The second module is used when you want to build a soundcloud playlist of your tracks.

PRO-Membership Stacks

Below you will find descriptions and links for the additional Stacks you will get when you subscribe to the RI-Member membership. Those Stacks aren't available to the public. They may have been removed from the single purchase option or are built especially for the RI-Member community.

Stacks Image 314

Featured Content

The Featured Content Stack lets you create Rotating Banners mainly used as Featured Content. The main container is on the left side with navigational tabs at the right. The slides are automatically rotated but can also be chosen with a mouse click. You can simply use images for your content but you can also use other stacks which contains text, code and images.
Stacks Image 195

jCycle V2

jCycle V2 is the successor of the jCycle stack. This version has been built from the ground up using the jCycle Plugin v2. It adds support for responsive pages and includes a pager option.
Stacks Image 214

Media Element

Adding media to a RapidWeaver page is not the easiest thing to do. When you drag and drop a movie or audio file to it, it will simply create a download link. Wouldn’t it be cool if you can drag any media to RW and a nice HTML5 player is created automatically? This is exactly what the mediaelement stack does.

Just add this stack to any stack page, add a text stack and drag and drop your media file onto it. And bang: your player is ready!
Stacks Image 292

PageFlip

The PageFlip Stack creates a nice curly container at the top of any page when hovered with the mouse will uncover any image you place in the stack with a nice and smooth animation. You can assign a link to this area to direct the user to a special section of your site. You can define the stack to float on the page or stay fixed at the left or right top corner of the page.
Stacks Image 327

SlideOverlay

The Slide Overlay Stack lets you create Sliding Image Overlays to any page. This means that you can use an image which is shown on the page. Whenever a user hovers the image with the mouse, a sliding panel is shown with further information. You can add any text, code or image to the sliding pane so it is very flexible. You can also add link text and images to the pane so the user can have further navigation options.
In the so called "HUD" you have many customization options to set the visual representation of the stack.

Free Stacks

Wazala

Stacks Image 2297
The Wazala Stack lets you integrate the best shopping cart provider in your RapidWeaver page. The cart is fully design/layout independent and you will be able to also edit your products from outside of RapidWeaver. Check out the features of wazala and I am sure you will also fall in love with it!

BGVideo

Stacks Image 2327

BG Video Stack(s)

The BG Video Stack actually contains two separate stacks. One is the BG Video Stack with HTML5 video support, the other one is the YouTube BG Stack, that lets you use a movie you uploaded to youTube as the Background of your page.
Both stacks will do the same thing: add a video to your page background. It will automatically scale the video to the browser window dimension and center the movie in the background. Of course it is recommended you make sure that any content above the video is still readable!
In the so called "HUD" you have several customization options.

JSSnow

Stacks Image 169

JSSnow Stack

Let it snow with our free JSSnow Stack. There is no need to configure anything. Just drop this stack anywhere on your page and let the storm begin.
This stack uses a canvas element to render the snow flakes, so it will only work in browsers supporting the canvas tag (e.g. it won't work in IE8 and below).
