RASTER THEME - Super Flexible
stacks_image_42629240-3A10-4CF1-9E06-F79AD3DD553C
The Raster Theme combines several ideas from other themes: a very eye catching but simple design, many advanced web2.0 features and the possibility to add extra content to many parts of the layout. Here is a small list of the most important features:

- Add any content to the headers (left AND right) and the footer. This can be inline content or even better, pages designed separately (e.g. stacks, blocks, …) or even flash movies

- The menu morph isn't only cool but can help the user give some visual feedback. And: if you don't like it, just disable it

- Present your images in a very stylish way with a simple photo album page. The images aren't loaded on a "dummy" html page but open up in mediabox advanced as an image set

- Includes mediabox advanced, the successor of mediabox. Now you can add sets of images, videos, content

- Advanced Tooltips are included. Whenever your visitor hovers a link you can present him some more information about the target. You can even add HTML/CSS code to the tips!

THE SPECIALS
Extra Content
Add your own content to the header sections or footer section with easy to use Snippets. That way you can add additional content like other pages (e.g. stacks, blocks, slideshow), images or ads.
This will open up many possibilities, no matter if you drive a private or business site

Mediabox Advanced
I had many requests to include mediaboxAdvanced in my themes. In Raster I did it.
mediabox itself uses a lightbox effect to present media (e.g. movies, flash animations, youtube content, images, ...) and other content like external webpages or inline content. The new version mediaboxAdvanced adds many new media sources, social webservices and lets you create galleries (called sets).

With mediabox it is also very easier to load movies, as you don't have to create special html pages for them. Simply use the movie as an asset you added to the page and add the proper rel tag in the link setup panel. This will further be described in the manual.

The reinvented Photo Album: Automatic Mediabox
The Photoalbum is something widely used but hasn't all the nice features you are used to excpect from a modern website. The Raster theme took the old good album page and brings it up to a new level by automatically transforming it to a mediabox advanced image set.
This means that no "dummy" HTML page is loaded when you click on the image thumbnails. The image itself is loaded on top of the current page in a semi transparent layer.

Advanced Tooltips
Tooltips are small informational boxes showing what the visitor will get if he follows a link. The new tooltips not only let you define text. They are fully customizable with HTML/CSS and so you can style them the way you want and even add images.
If you don't want to show tooltips for your site, there is an option in the style variations to disable them.

Visual Menu Effects
Not enough, Raster adds very nice visual morphing effects for the menu.
Of course, you can always disable the morph - just in case you don't like beautiful animations on the web ;-)
Split Navigation
I don't think "Split Navigation" has to be explained in deep here, as this technique has been used in many themes before. Short: your main pages are displayed in the top menu, subpages in the sidebar.
What is Supported?
Browsers
stacks_image_43A85EEA-C767-4006-963A-B48C4522717F
I test my themes with the following Browsers and try to fix any problems I find:

- Safari4+
- Firefox 3.5+
- Opera 10
- IE7, IE8

I have dropped support for IE6. This doesn't mean the theme doesn't work in IE6, I just won't invest a lot of time on correcting strange behaviours.
Plugins
Below you will find a list, what plugins are supported. Note that I only will give free support on the following plugins with the status "Supported". I always try to maximize the compatibility with many plugins, but I can't test them all (and sometimes the plugins use some code which makes it almost impossible to find a solution to fix problems).
