Some important notes concerning the Gothic V3 theme

The Konzern Theme is a theme with a huge amount of functionality. Many features have to be explained to make them work. Please read the following section very carefully.

A Static Navigation are links that are always present in your page. You can see this on many sites. In most cases these links lead to important pages like "Contact Us", "Shopping Cart" or "FAQ".

During the last few months, many user asked me - and also in the RW user forum - how to create a multi-lingual site in RW. The general answer was: this can't easily be made. I worked on a solution to this some times ago (for a private project) and have now implemented this in the Konzern theme. Even it isn't a light-weight feature (you have to do some work on your part) I think my solution is the easiest possible solution to create multi-language support in RapidWeaver sites.
The theme comes with four main languages and could be expanded to your needs, which I'll talk about later. Included or let's say "preinstalled" are: english, french, german and italian.
To start, you should first install the Multi Lang RapidWeaver Snippet. To do so, simply double click the included "multilangjs.rwsnippet" file.

In Konzern V 1.1.0 a feature has been added to let you import any content into the navbar header section. This gives you a lot of cool possibilities, as you aren't limited to images only. You could design a custom header using blocks, adding a slideshow, images and text and replace the existing header with it. There are some limitations (e.g. read below about adding Flash) but it still is extremly powerful.

Letting the user sign up a newsletter is a vital step in online marketing. I am using MaxBulk Mailer to send out mails to my customers and I stumbled over a great and free script called mlm (Mailing List Manager) from MaxProg. Even it can be used alone, its full strength lies in the combination of that script and MaxBulk Mailer, as it is integrated in the mailer application, so you don't have to export/import mail lists. Note that the script itself is free but if you are using it on commercial sites you have to purchase a pro license for USD $10. What I did was changing some code in the script, so the subscription is handled in the background via ajax. This means that the user won't be redirected to a separate page when submitting the form but gets a status notification dynamically below the form.
